Hi, I’m Raina

and yes, I actually enjoy Seattle’s rainy days!

I spent 4+ years as a UX designer working on large-scale consumer products used by tens of millions of people every day. My experience ranged from growing products still finding their direction to mature platforms shaped by complex user needs, business goals, and system constraints.

How I Think About Design

Working at this scale taught me to look beyond surface-level problems and balance user experience with business impact. I like digging into the root of a problem, mapping how different parts connect, and finding opportunities in details that might otherwise be overlooked — then turning those insights into clear, intuitive, and practical experiences.

How I Work With Teams

Designing in a large organization also meant navigating people, timelines, and dependencies across teams. Over time, I developed a strong sense of project ownership alongside my design practice.

Beyond earning my PMP certification, I’ve learned how to manage progress and risks, keep teams aligned, and create space for people to contribute what they do best. I care not only about delivering good work, but also about making collaboration clear, productive, and enjoyable.

Currently

I’m pursuing my M.S. in Human Centered Design & Engineering at the University of Washington, where I’m exploring new perspectives on design, technology, and AI.

When I’m Not Designing

You’ll probably find me dancing, longboarding, learning drums, exploring somewhere new, or noticing little details in everyday life that somehow become inspiration.

Made with boba tea and love✨
